Marionettes, rod puppets, table tops and hand puppets.

Katie Griffiths has been making puppets for WishWorks since 1999; hand crafting each one individually- sewing costumes; carving heads and limbs or using papier-mache. She is highly skilled and every puppet she makes has great character and life. She has been commissioned to make puppets for theatre shows, carnival; shop windows and displays- as well as several private commissions.

Examples:

  • “Pok”, a marionette who traveled Australia and appeared in our first puppet show “Whispering Smith”
  • “Morwenna” The mermaid with a driftwood face and hair made from untreated wool. Inspired by an old tale and the wood found.
